Third Assist's Take: Just 40 minutes out of downtown Denver you can find the Evergreen Pond Hockey Championship nestled in the Rockies. Multiple rinks are set up within spitting distance of the timber-framed Evergreen Lake House which hosts festivities for the weekend. The tournament has grown to offer three divisions for players of all skill levels. To us, it's convenient enough be nearby a major city for things to do, but far enough to truly feel like you're out there playing in the elements. With 12 years under their belts, the team at Evergreen Pond Hockey Championships have figured out the recipe for a well-placed and well-structured event.
